Responsible for the ministry of Congregational Care. Oversees and helps provide pastoral ministry to members, attendees, and their loved ones as crises and seasons of celebration occur. Not only does this person lead the Congregational Care staff, but he also works to develop a ministry that recruits, develops, trains, and launches lay people into various congregational care ministries.

Serves by envisioning and creating a strategy for the traditional music ministries of choirs, ensembles, soloists and musicians to glorify God, support the vision of Christ Methodist Church, and engage the congregation in meaningful worship.

Leads and serves 6th through 12th-grade students, focusing on 9th-12th grade students, providing opportunities for students to grow a strong, healthy relationship with Jesus Christ.

Leads and serves elementary age children, with a focus on kindergarten through 2nd grade students laying a foundation for age-appropriate Biblical knowledge and providing opportunities for children to grow a strong, healthy relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Pastor of Men’s Ministry at Christ Methodist Church leads the making, maturing, and mobilizing of men to be fully devoted followers of Jesus. This pastoral position will oversee disciple-making initiatives for men of all generations and, under the leadership of the Pastor of Care Ministries, serve as part of the overall pastoral care team of Christ Methodist.

A fellow serves for two years in full-time ministry, splitting their time between serving on staff at Christ Church Memphis and attending the extension campus of Asbury Theological Seminary, conveniently located on our campus. Fellows serve in a ministry that furthers their vocational aims while experiencing holistic exposure to multiple church ministries. They receive both a monthly stipend of $1,400 and a full scholarship to Asbury Seminary.
