Global Friends Memphis
Mission: To welcome, serve, and connect international students, scholars, faculty, and their families through journeying together in faith and friendship at The University of Memphis.
Vision: To see international student leadership reflect the diverse international community being served.
Program Highlights
Monthly Campus Lunch: Provides free meals to international students, supported by sponsoring churches.
Weekly Bible Study: Engages students from various countries in co-ed Bible studies, focusing on Scripture application and discipleship.
Social Events: Hosts monthly social dinners in American homes to build meaningful relationships and cultural exchange.
Volunteer Training: Offers quarterly training for volunteer team members to improve engagement and hospitality skills.
Community Impact
Witnessed a student from Poland come to faith in Christ.
Saw increased attendance and spiritual interest at all events.
Received a $10,000 grant from Barnhart's BluPrint, providing critical financial support for the ministry.
