Memphis Family Connection Center (MFCC)
Mission: To support hope and healing for families impacted by Adverse Childhood Experiences and trauma by increasing access to holistic care through clinical services, community training, and resource development.
Vision: A community where all children and families have access to the therapeutic and attachment-centered care they need to grow and flourish.
Program Highlights
Home-like Spaces: Provides counseling, occupational therapy, speech therapy, expressive art therapy, and parent mentoring through a Christ-centered multidisciplinary model.
Safe and Secure TN: Offers trauma-informed training and coaching to local organizations, nonprofits, and schools to reduce the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences in Tennessee.
Empowered to Connect Institute: Creates globally used resources such as parenting curricula, podcasts, and video training, supporting over 100 churches and community organizations in the U.S., Canada, and South Africa.
Community Impact
Established a partnership with Tennessee DCS to provide trauma-informed training for caregivers and staff.
Developed a curriculum to equip Caregiver Coaches to facilitate attachment-rich and healing-centered environments.
Provided holistic therapeutic services to children, adults, and families in Shelby, Fayette, and Desoto Counties.
Honored with the 2022 Award for Advancing Minority Mental Health by the American Psychiatry Association.
